Rodent II, Engine Empty

Rodent II, released 15.02.2016
Rodent II, Engine Rodent_dm
Rodent is an open source chess engine by Pawel Koziol , derived from Sungorus by Pablo Vazquez. Its developement started in 2011, on the assumption that hacking a small, well written code base will allow me to write something that is small, well-written and damn strong. Unfortunately codebase grew larger and larger with time, and some code elegance has been lost in the process.

Current Rodent II, released 15.02.2016, is a complete rewrite.

Older version 1.2 was made available under two licenses: beside customary package of executable files, licensed under GPL, there is also a package in which Rodent 1.2 has been compiled as a library and licensed under Lesser General Public License (see here). The reason is to allow using Rodent as a part of bigger, partially proprietary systems, such as chess playing servers.

Rodent has no graphical user interface, so in order to play against it, You should install it under Arena, FritzGui or Winboard, which also has excellent support of UCI protocol.

Risky Rodent II 0.9.68

This windows release is for x64 POPCNT intel processor, and support for new RiskyDepth UCI parameter.
Value = 4 proportionally increase evaluation each 4 halfmove in deep for engine side and decrease it for opponent.
This tuning can create a very risky and fun game against human opponent.
And can help humans to search good variants for blitz game training.
